In Search of the Great Southern Land
Sunday 3 October
Twizel Events Centre
Bruce Ansley is no stranger to Te Wai Pounamu, having traced and storied the historical, off-the-beaten-tracks around the South Island, from Erewhon to Mesopotamia, following the path of the doomed surveyor John Whitcombe across the Southern Alps, hunting the Grey Ghost and celebrating all the small and curious towns of the South Island. Diverse and fascinating, Bruce’s writing career has drawn him again and again to the South Island and his love for the Mackenzie Country is ardent and obvious.
